The word Holos means "the whole in balance", and that is the fundamental basis of ecology, living in balance with your environment and everything that surrounds you. Creating an ecological conscience more than a fashion or an eccentricity is a real necessity! Not only because of the many well-known consequences of the indiscriminate use of resources and their devastating effects on the planet but because we are part of this environment and obtaining a true ecological understanding, the quality of life of the individual increases considerably! Giving the individual greater self-sufficiency, which also translates into greater self-esteem, better health conditions and economic savings. That is why we promote initiatives aimed at the development of technologies for increase human´s quality of life through the ecological awareness. We are creating a network of thinkers who can contribute with initiatives aimed at the development of healthy technologies that can improve our quality of life.

Holos Ecovillages

Surely you have already heard about this concept... ecovillages are becoming more and more popular, which is nothing more than a community that decides to form a housing settlement consciously designed through participatory processes to ensure long-term sustainability; taking into account in this way the economic, social, environmental or ecological aspects and a different, alternative vision of life and the world.

Currently the Holos community foresees 2 ecovillage projects, one in Europe and the other in Latin America.

They have as their main objective the improvement of the quality of life of people, both of the members of the ecovillage, as well as of the community of the entire environment, either through the consumption of products and services that we will generate in the same ecovillage. , or through different training programs that have been designed to manage different economic, social and cultural aspects, in addition to the ecological ones. The ecovillages will provide services and products to the population in general of an ecological, environmentalist and naturist nature from a holistic point of view while carrying out community help activities.

The ecovillages will carry out the following main activities:

1- Center for alternative therapies for the treatment of different pathologies, exclusively with natural medicine and non-invasive methods: This center will be open to the general public and will function as a kind of Hotel - Spa where patients can take as long as necessary to carry out their treatments, spending the night on the site; which will allow them to learn, under the careful guidance of our specialists, new life habits suitable for restoring the patient's health according to the pathology to be treated.

2-Rural tourism - Hotel and Spa: Reception of tourists in ecological cabins where they can carry out activities related to contact with nature and learning about a healthy and self-sufficient way of life. Access to the therapy center and spa during the stay.

3- Biological Agriculture: Controlled crops will be grown in a natural way, without pesticides, (bio crops) both for the sustenance of the community and for use in the different treatments and therapies imparted in the center of holistic therapies, such as medicinal plants, as well as as for the sale of natural products and food products.

4- Generation and construction of machinery, equipment and systems, portable and large-scale, for the purification of water, generation of renewable energies (gas and electricity), treatment of sewage, mechanisms for the automation of crops, air conditioning of homes and Hot water. All systems will be used both for internal implementation of the community or ecovillage and for sale to the public.

5- Ecological construction and generation of ecological construction materials: Construction techniques and materials specially designed to meet the needs of the community and ecological housing will be implemented in the community and specialized training will be given to the general public to carry out this type of construction. buildings.

6- Shelter or free asylum for victims of war, political persecution, torture, violence and/or abuse, entire families living on the streets and, in general, any person who is in a high-risk situation. The asylum includes the allocation of a house and free daily food, under the sole condition of attending support programs and reintegration into society that include emotional and psychological support, treatment for the different pathologies that may suffer, learning the local language to those who are foreigners, training for the introduction to the work of their selection and 2 hours a day of active participation in the different activities of the community. Children will also be introduced to the community school system.

With our ecovillages we want to promote the institution of sustainable communities, relying on new technologies to improve people's quality of life but always respecting the environment and nature.
